Shut the Front Door

Today's Christmas card is for another dog lover on my list.

After stamping the images from the Lawn Fawn Christmas Dreams set I cut them out with the matching dies and then colored with Copic Markers.  I used the Lawn Fawn Shut the Front Door die set cutting the door from patterned paper and the porch from card stock. I added the "brass" lock set cut from gold metallic card stock topped with a pearl for the doorknob. I then used stitched rectangles dies to cut out the "house" with patterned paper and then cut an opening for the door. Using the door opening as a guide, I attached the various stamped images to the card front and then attached the panel to it with foam tape.

Christmas Rescue

Today's card is for one my husband's oldest friends and his wife. In fact, his wife runs a rescue in Texas.

I stamped the image from the Playful Pups set onto Neenah cardstock, cut out with the matching die and colored with Copic Markers. I used the Merry Christmas Circle Frame die to cut from electric red cardstock. I after attaching to the card front I centered the stamped image on it using foam tape for dimension. The sentiment was attached stamped onto a green parakeet card stock banner piece. The small Christmas ornament ball came from the Happy Pawlidays set.

Peace On Earth

I have card another using the Flora & Fauna Winter Woodland set today.

I card the card front using a stitched die and a window using the My Favorite Things Peek-a-Boo die, then stamped the sentiment using pure poppy ink. For the window insert I stamped the trees and garland plus the bird separately. I colored with copic markers and then fussy cut out the tiny bird, attaching with a pop dot. The whole piece was layered onto a patterned paper mat.

Merry Christmas

Today's post has to be short and sweet.

To prepare the background I water colored Ranger Peacock Feather distress oxide ink onto Ranger card stock. After it dried I used a stencil and fiber paste to create some dimensional snow. After stamping the images from the Mama Elephant Little Santa and Little Reindeer Agenda stamps set, I cut out with the matching dies and then colored with Copic Markers. I used the Pretty Pink Posh Storybook 1 die to cut from soft stone cardstock and then cut again with a stitched die. After stamping the Lawn Fawn sentiment using pure poppy ink, I attached to the card base with foam tape.

Christmas Dreams

Surprise, Surprise, I have another Christmas card today.

I used The Cat's Pajamas Holiday Window Duo die to cut an opening in the card front for an acetate window and frame from red cardstock.  After the window was completed I stamped the sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Christmas Dreams set using new leaf ink. To complete the inside I stamped the various images from the set and cut out with the matching dies.

Merry Christmas

Today's card represents why I should not buy stamp kits because it is the only one I have made using materials from Papertrey InkWinter Wonderland kit. It really is a beautiful kit though and hopefully I will get more use out of it if not this year, next year.

I cut the image base from watercolor cardstock and the used peacock feather distress oxide ink misted with water on the top portion to represent a snowy sky. While the base dried I cut the birch tree die from white textured cardstock. I stamped the sentiment onto a white banner cut with another die in the kit. I stamped the greenery with pinefeather ink, the flowers with aqua mist and ocean tides and the deer with london fog ink and cut out with the matching dies. After layering everything together I attached the image piece to a woodgrain embossed panel with a stitched die.

Products: PTI stamps and dies, Ranger, Bazzill, PTI and Ellen Hutson cs, MFT die, Memento, Ranger Oxide and PTI ink

That's it for today. I am slowly getting my cards addressed and sending them out in groups.

When Snow Falls

I bought the Hero Arts Wintertime Fun set last December actually too late to actually get any Christmas cards completed so it has been languishing in my stamp stash for a year. Sadly I have a few I have purchased this year that probably will not make it on a 2017 card. Can any of my fellow stampers relate? Sigh.

With a bit of masking, I stamped the tree, fox, owl and deer onto Neenah cardstock and then colored with Copic Markers. I added a bit of sparkle on the snow tipped tree with a clear gelly roll pen. After cutting out the image with a stitched die, I stamped a trio of snowflakes using soft stone ink and the sentiment with black licorice. And yay, a perfectly flat card for easy mailing. This card was inspired by the fabulous and creative Debby Hughes.
